Kitchen and Company Appraisal Services has extensive experience in all types of property valuations, completing hundreds of appraisals annually, including single & multi-family dwellings, vacant land, government institutions, commercial & industrial, recreational, and special use properties. All reports are accurately and professionally prepared, adhere to the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (CUSPAP), and are relied upon by financial organizations, investors, and government agencies.
Founder - Wayne Kitchen
Since moving to Bracebridge from the Niagara Peninsula in 1971, Wayne has owned many residential, recreational, and commercial properties throughout the region, and in Florida, USA. When Wayne is not working, he enjoys cottage life on Lake Muskoka with family and boating in the Gulf of Mexico.
AIC Candidate Member – Adam Steinbach
Adam moved to Muskoka after completing his Bachelor of Science at the University of Waterloo in 2018. After spending several years in the cottage construction and property maintenance industries. Adam became interested in real estate appraisal and attained status as an AIC Candidate Member in early 2022.
Adam now completes residential and commercial property appraisals throughout the Muskoka and Parry Sound regions while continuing his studies towards an AACI certification.
AIC Candidate Member – Kevin Roy
Kevin is a graduate of Laurentian University, with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and has spent most of his professional career working in the healthcare industry. Turning his focus to real estate appraisal, he earned his AIC Candidate Member status in June 2022 and recently joined the Kitchen Team.
Kevin completes residential property appraisals of all types: waterfront, acreage, rural, multi-family, etc. throughout Muskoka and central Ontario.
Appraisal Coordinator – Arden Ruttle
Arden was born and raised in Muskoka and has extensive knowledge of Bracebridge and the surrounding areas and cherishes the beautiful town she calls home. Arden has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Guelph, which has benefitted her in this role as an Appraisal Coordinator. She loved Guelph but looked forward to moving back to her hometown after university.
She worked in construction as a painter for many years and travelled all around Muskoka to cottages and residences alike, before coming to work at Kitchen & Company in the fall of 2023.
Arden is passionate about the outdoors and can be frequently found hiking and snowshoeing with her dog Rivi. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family and has many creative outlets.
Arden knows how important it is to be the office’s first point of contact for clients wanting an appraisal, and client connection is very important to her. She works to ensure that appraisals and appointments run smoothly and looks forward to speaking with you.
AIC Candidate Member – Caleb Wahl
Caleb moved back to Muskoka after completing his Bachelor of Science at Carleton University in 2017. He has always been fascinated with real estate, and after spending a number of years as a general contractor he decided to pursue real estate appraisal. He became an AIC Candidate Member in early 2024.
When Caleb is not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids.
